Brauer Natural Medicine

The Brauer family established a pharmacy in South Australia's Barossa Valley in 1929. Like many of the immigrants from Germany who settled this area from the 1840s the Brauer family brought with them a tradition of homoeopathy as a familiar method of medical treatment. This tradition persisted among the descendants of the settlers and the pharmacy was called upon to supply them with homoeopathic medicines.

The pharmacist Warren Brauer pursued an interest in natural and homoeopathic medicines. In 1972 Warren and his wife Joy, a nursing sister, began to manufacture proprietary homoeopathic medicines. In 1984, they started what is now the production and laboratory facilities of Brauer Natural Medicines.

Warren travelled to Europe on many occasions to obtain the latest information in the field of homoeopathic medicine and the best technical advice on the formulation and manufacture of these medicines. His pursuit of technical excellence in the field of homoeopathy led to continuous improvements in the manufacture of the Brauer homoeopathic medicines.

Founded and directed by a pharmacist, Warren Brauer, the company has always had a pharmaceutical technical orientation. Warren paid meticulous attention to manufacturing processes and strove for continuous improvement and quality assurance to ensure all products met homoeopathic and pharmaceutical production criteria. Meticulous manufacturing processes and quality assurance ensure that all Brauer products are produced to the highest international standards.

An innovative development in the provision of homoeopathic medicines was the oral spray dose form introduced by Brauer for convenience of use, consistent dosage and rapid absorption of doses of selected products.

Brauer remains an Australian owned natural medicine company committed to providing quality medicines and service to its domestic and export customers.
